Thursday HERSday – who am I?

As we become wives and mothers, we tend to lose ourselves. We become the wife of so-and-so and the mother of those boys. We have lost our identity of who we really are, beyond being married with children! Don’t get me wrong.. I absolutely love being a wife and being a mother, even though it’s a full time job without the pay and benefits! It’s the most stressful job ever, but so rewarding if you take in the positive moments. Running the house and doing it successfully is a feeling of achievement. It makes you feel valuable and worthy of something in this so-called life. That’s a great feeling. But when is it time to actually be yourself? Be who you are!! You can be a wife, mom, and a dream catching gal! Why not?! Who told you that you couldn’t?! I love my “label” of wife and mom, but I need a little more extra with being who I am as my person. That’s why I make sure I have my side gigs, hobbies, alone time, etc. It’s important to remember that you are a person of passion and even though you have life obstacles before you, it should never stand in the way where you can’t get around it. Be that wife you want to be! Be that mom you want to be! And if you hold passions, make sure to get that time to pursue it! The feeling of value is so high once you reach it, that you’ll never regret trying to dive into the goal of being who you are and going for what YOU want in life!

I am a thirty-seven year old military wife and the mother of two boys. Living the best possible life and following my dreams is exactly the inspiring touches I want to contain. I have many passions and have found a way to apply those passions into my dream chasing adventure. I have learned a lot from life itself. It has torn me apart, left me feeling worthless, and gave me the overwhelming emotion that all hope is lost. I’m a fighter, although I haven’t always been that way. Holding empathy for others is a huge part of me. I’m hoping that my journey to living life to its fullest helps to inspire others and for them not to feel alone with any given situation that life can throw at you. I’m here to write, write about anything and everything that interests me and hoping that you enjoy what you see.
